Why I’m Giving Away This Content
Launching a book is no easy task, especially when you as an author are gunning to be #1 in your category on Amazon. It takes help.
So last month, I asked everyone on the T60 email list and all of the people who follow me on social media to band together to help make Lights, Camera, Action an Amazon #1 Bestseller. I asked you to share the book with your friends and colleagues, and of course, I asked you to buy the book.
And you did! You did it so well the book went to #1 on the day it launched. Amazing!
I promised if you made the book a bestseller, I’d give you a free virtual presentation. And if you made it a #1 bestseller, I’d give you another.
Well… promise made, promise delivered! I hope you enjoy them.
Thank you!

Virtual Presentation #1
How-to build a basic video plan
I have been fortunate to speak at Content Marketing World a bunch of times now, and one of the perks of being a speaker is being able to attend the whole event. Back in 2021, Ann Handley talked during her keynote about how she once treated selling an old couch on Craigslist as a copywriting exercise. It was pretty funny. I remember laughing and thinking, that’s kind of like when I made a marketing video to sell the Protegรฉ.
๐กRight then and there I knew what my 2022 CMWorld presentation was going to be about.
I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous about it. I hoped by walking the audience through the process I used to sell the car, they’d be able to apply the lessons learned to their own marketing videos. I had no idea how it would be received, but I was blown away by the positive responses. I hope you get something out of it as well!
Finally, a special thank you to Stephanie Stahl, the general manager at the Content Marketing Institute. When you speak at big conferences like CMWorld, the organizers usually ask that you don’t do that presentation for a while afterwards to lend some exclusivity to their event. When I told Stephanie I wanted to do a virtual version of my presentation as a book incentive, she was totally supportive, so thanks Stephanie!๐

Where to put your website videos
One of the biggest reasons many marketers don’t get the most out of their videos is because they don’t make a plan from the beginning.
I mean, do videos really need a plan? We’re just going to put them on the website.
Yes! Your videos need a plan, which is something I spend a lot of time on in the book. And the website thing is a fun joke, but it’s also very real. “We’re just going to put them on the website” is something I’ve heard more than once.
Even something as basic as putting videos on your website deserves some thought. You need to be strategic about it. I hope this virtual presentation inspires you to rethink how you handle your website videos.
Hey you… freeloader!
Wait… you didn’t buy the book yet?! You didn’t share about it on social media?
That means you didn’t have anything to do with my book making it to #1. You’re cashing-in on content you didn’t earn!
Deep soothing breath… okay, I can handle that.๐
Seriously, don’t sweat it. But if you’re feeling a little guilty, there’s a way to relieve that feeling.
Just buy a copy of the book. All will be forgiven.๐
